The China Photo Archives, a division of Xinhua, has the
world’s most comprehensive photo collection on Chinese history, with more than 3
million pictures dating back to the late-19th century. More than 2 million of
these photos have been digitalized. The archives are expanding by 1,500 pictures
a day.
